“Oh, what did you bring?” Saskia asks as she claps her hands, looking towards a couple bags stashed by the entrance to the bar. Sam laughs as he stands and makes his way towards the door. Picking up one of the bags, he looks inside and then grins as he brings the bag back with him and then sits down.
“This is something I thought some of you might need by now, but it always comes in handy.” He pulls out a box, and immediately from the picture, I can see that he’s holding a vibrator.
“Oh my word . . . Sam!” Aria gasps as she sees what he’s holding. “Is that what I think it is?”
He nods with a big grin on his face. “I got them for free. They were doing a promotion of sex toys at the gym.” He hands me the box and then continues to pull out other boxes and hand them to the others.
“I can’t wait to see Caelius’s face when he sees what I got,” Alaia says with a laugh.
“It’s going to be priceless; the men are going to be fuming,” Scarlett states as she opens her box and pulls out a purple vibrator and starts to wiggle it around, making everyone laugh again.
“Sam, you are a godsend. I’m going to love teasing Ceric with this. What else have you got?” Nova asks. Standing, she walks towards the bags by the door.
“Hey, no peeking,” Sam states as he stands and rushes towards the bags. He lifts his hands and starts to shush Nova back to her seat. “Go sit down, you naughty girl, or you don’t get anything else.” With that, he swats her bum. Nova wiggles her finger at him and then squeals when he swats at her again.
“Because I want to congratulate Katrina on being with Draco, I have something special for them.” I tense, starting to envision all kinds of weird and wonderful things. He looks in one of the bags and starts to move things about and then stops and grins. He doesn’t pull it out, but lifts the bag still with his hand inside. Carrying the bag, he walks towards us again. He sits down and then pulls out what looks like a black piece of lace that he’s holding in one hand. The lace unravels, and lingerie hangs from his finger.
“Oh my goodness,” I say when I see it properly, and cover my eyes with my hands. The cups where the breasts go have no material but lace that frames it, and then the body is covered with exquisite lace, but at the bottom, it has a slit that opens from the front to the back. All the parts that are supposed to be covered are open, and the rest is semi covered.
“Do you like it?” he quips.
“Oh man, can you imagine Draco’s face when he sees her in that?” Talia says. “I wish I could see his expression.”
“It will smoulder off her body,” Brielle teases with a wink as I drop my hands and grin at her.
I was thinking of buying lingerie. Well, I guess I will try this first, and if he likes it, then I will consider getting more. I pick it up from where Sam placed it on my leg and stretch it out to see it in full. Oh boy. He will either laugh at me or think I’m crazy.
I am brought back from my musings when Sam tells the others that there are five more pieces of lingerie in the bag. They can fight between themselves to see who wants it. Nova pulls out the different pieces and lifts them up to show everyone. “What the hell are you doing, woman?” Ceric growls as he walks into the bar, the baby resting against his shoulder.
“Oh, is he awake?” Nova asks, ignoring his question. She drops the piece she was holding onto Aria’s lap and walks towards Ceric to take their son. I see Ceric look over Nova’s shoulder towards Sam. When I look at Sam, I see him grinning.
“Hi, hotness,” Sam greets, which has Ceric scowling. Nova takes the baby from him and then lifts on her tiptoes and kisses his lips. The scowl instantly vanishes as he looks down at her. I feel warmth fill my body when I see the tender love on his face as he looks at his woman and their son. She whispers something to him that has him looking at her questioningly, but then he nods and leaves.
“Why do you tease him?” Nova says as she walks back towards us, her eyes on Sam. “You know he doesn’t like that. One of these days, if he strangles you, I’m not going to stop him.”
Sam places his hands together as if in prayer but ruins it with a grin. “Forgive me, but he’s way too easy to tease. Besides, all I have to do is look at you and he’s growling. Have you heard him?” he asks, looking at the other women for backup. “I’m serious, he actually growls.”
“Okay, it won’t be him strangling you, it will be me,” Nova quips as she shakes her fist at him. “Behave, Samuel.”
“Fine, I’ll behave. Now let me hold him,” he says as he holds out his arms for the little boy. The affection between these two is clear, and they banter as if real siblings. Nova leans down and places the baby in his arms, but she stands over him protectively. I see movement from the corner of my eye. Turning my head, I realize that Brandr and Bion have joined us.
I notice the tenseness in Brandr’s and Bion’s bodies as they come to stand behind Sam. I can see that they’re not comfortable with Sam holding the baby and are ready to interject if necessary. Nova looks up and notices them standing behind her friend. She frowns in annoyance, but she must have realized that no matter what she might say, they will not stand down when it comes to the protection of us or the children.
“It’s time to feed him,” Nova says as she takes the baby from Sam.
Sam grumbles good-naturedly as he sits back, but then he realizes someone is standing behind him. Looking over his shoulder, he grunts. “Just give a guy a heart attack.”
“Is that yours?” Bion suddenly asks, which has me looking over my shoulder at him. His eyes are focused on Brielle. Looking at her, I see her holding the vibrator, her cheeks darkening with colour.
“Mmm, Sam gave it to me,” she mutters. I nearly jump out of my skin as one minute, I’m looking at Brielle, and the next, I hear a bang. Sam’s chair is turned over, and Bion has him by the neck. Out of all the guys, I would never have taken Bion for this type of action, as he is usually one of the calmest, but here he is, strangling Sam right before our eyes.
“Bion,” Brielle calls, but he doesn’t seem to be listening to her. She rushes towards them, but Brandr is already there, trying to pull Bion away.
“What the . . .?” I hear, and suddenly Draco is by the men, helping Brandr pull Bion away. “Let him go, Bion.”
“Please, Bion, let him go,” Brielle says. Draco and Brandr finally manage to pull him back. Sam is gasping for air, but no one moves towards him, as the tension in the room is palpable.
“Calm down,” Brandr says. After what feels like an hour but can’t be more than a couple minutes, Draco talks to Bion, but I can’t hear what he’s saying.
“Take him,” Draco suddenly says and only now do I realize that the other men have also joined us but have all stayed back and are standing before the women. Bjarni moves towards Sam and helps him towards the door. I hear Nova saying something, but the men urge her to keep quiet.
“It was just a joke,” she mutters again.
“You better have a good explanation for this,” Draco says, and only now do I see the vein ticking by his temple. His eyes are that bright blue that warns of danger.
“That son of a bitch gave my woman a vibrator.” Bion’s voice is raspy and low with anger. “I don’t care if he’s fucking gay or if it’s a joke. Why would he give her a fucking vibrator?” I can see that the idea of a vibrator being given to Brielle is messing with his mind. That it was a man giving it to her has him furious.
“It wasn’t just to her, Bion. He didn’t mean anything with it. We all got one,” Saskia says, trying to calm him. The reaction from the men at her comment is unexpected. Instead of calming Bion, it has all the men in a rage. I look towards Draco, waiting for him to tell the men to calm down, but instead, I see his eyes focused on my hands. I quickly drop them to my side, but it’s too late. He has seen the vibrator box and the piece of lace. He moves so fast that I didn’t even see him leave Bion’s side, but suddenly, he’s standing before me, his eyes that piercing blue as he holds out his hand.

bsp; If it were another time, I would have said no, but I now know when to push Draco and when not to, and now it’s a not. I lift my hand and place the box in his hand. He keeps his hand there, his eyes still staring into mine. I know he wants the lingerie too, but I was really looking forward to teasing him with it. I reluctantly place it in his hand, and only then do his eyes lower to his hand. I see the muscles in his arms tense even more than they already were as his other hand picks up the little piece of lace and opens it up. I’m worried that the vein on his forehead is going to burst at the intensity of its beats. “Did you try this on?” His eyes are again on mine, and I can see the rage on his face. I shake my head in denial and see him close his hand around the lace and the other around the box.
Suddenly the lace starts to crinkle up and I can see it smouldering. The box is already in flames in his hand. My instinct is to try to stop the flames as not to burn him, but I know that fire doesn’t hurt him. His eyes are still focused on mine when he speaks again.
“No man gives you presents, especially sexual ones.” With those words, he turns and leaves, still holding the burning items in his hands. My heart is still racing at the anger that he showed at Sam having given me those items. I knew that the Elementals are possessive men, but I have never seen Draco enraged because of another man.
DRACO 12
“Is everyone in place?” I ask into my com, and wait for a reply. I don’t like the idea of having the women so close to the underground, but I know Ceric will guard them. No one should disturb them where they are. The men need this, as emotions have been high at the compound after what happened with Sam. The women are upset with us because of the way we reacted, and the men are frustrated with the situation.
After leaving the bar, I went for a long walk. The anger running through my body at the idea of another man giving my woman sexual items makes me want to kill him. Even though I know that it’s unfounded and that Sam is harmless, it’s stronger than me. Still today when I think of it, I fume at the thought. When I got back to the compound, Katrina was not pleased with me, and even though I explained to her that it’s not the thought of her having a vibrator and that I would buy her one to keep for when I’m not there, but the fact that it’s another man giving it to her, I did not appease her anger.
She was angry at the way I reacted, and as she says, poor Sam. I understand her point of view, but she needs to understand that it’s part of our DNA and we are unable to change our possessiveness towards our women. It’s an animalistic emotion that takes over and we act on it. For me, it was more upsetting because I have always been able to control my emotions, but I have realized that no matter what, where my vixen is concerned, I am not able to control myself.
Yesterday, I contacted Sam. I warned him never to do something like that again. He confessed to have had the intention of teasing us but didn’t think Bion would get so upset. I will still allow Sam to visit the compound, as the women have a soft spot for him, but I asked Nova to make sure he behaves. After a long discussion, she understood our reasoning and agreed.
“We’re ready,” Ceric responds, bringing me back from my musings.
“Ready,” Wulf states.
“Ready,” Celmund says. As soon as we get the go-ahead from Ceric that Talia has short-circuited the cameras and alarms, Celmund will do his part, and then we can breach the underground. I need to get my hands on Katya; I want to know who all is involved. We need to neutralize the situation; I want to be able to relax and make sure that we don’t have the government after us.
“Give the go-ahead, Ceric,” I order, and know that the women will now be preparing. They wanted to be closer, but I refused. They are close enough for us to reach in minutes if need be, and far enough not to be identified immediately on any technology they might have.
“Is your woman still upset?” Bjarni asks from behind me. I can hear the disgruntlement in his voice.
“Yeah, still giving me the fucking cold shoulder,” Cassius replies. “Don’t know why she’s so upset. I’m not the one who strangled Sam.”
“Don’t know what they expected. I sure as hell wasn’t going to let Aria use that fucking vibrator when Sam gave it to her,” Brandr mumbles. “I melted the fucking thing.”
“I just broke Gabriela’s in half. If I had known when I walked Sam to his car, it would have been him, lucky asshole,” Bjarni mutters. “And who the hell gives a woman a glittery vibrator?”
“Has your woman come around, Draco?” Cassius asks. I look back over my shoulder at the three men standing there with scowls on their faces. I’m sure mine is the same.
“No, but at least today she didn’t bang the bathroom door,” I answer, “because I swear if she had to bang that door once more, I would have pulled the fucking thing off its hinges.” When we get back today, I’m going to sit her down and get this out. I’m done with this between us.
“I bought Gabriela a ring yesterday. I’ll give it to her today when I get back,” Bjarni says with a pensive look.
“You think that’s going to make her happy with you again?” Brandr asks.
“Well, it’s fucking more expensive than the vibrator I broke,” he grunts angrily. “Besides, she doesn’t need one.”
“Alaia got in,” Ceric reports. The men behind me quieten. If she got in, that means we will be able to breach the underground today. “There are two guards by the elevators. Nova told them to help you in and not say anything. Celmund, apparently the fingerprint system is by the elevators too.”
“I have uploaded everyone’s details onto their security system, but it is untraceable. They won’t know it’s there unless they know what they are looking for. When you leave, I will remove the file,” Celmund reports. Celmund found the database Jenkins mentioned. We have distributed the required details to the other chapters to find the women on the database, as it looks like the agency has been able to capture information about various women with gifts all over the world. There was also an extensive file on the Elementals and the Keres.
They have details about us that only with years of work would they have been able to acquire. On the women’s database, they have been thorough to the point where they have DNA, blood types, energy levels, and even their likes and dislikes.
“Katrina has found the main frame; Talia is working on deactivating everything,” Ceric reports.
“Get ready,” I order. It takes longer than what I expected, but soon, Ceric is telling us that it’s down. “Move out.” I know that Celmund is working on the main gate, and we’ll deal with the guards at the gate. We opted for attacking at night, as it hides our movements more. The guards won’t be able to see us moving even with the flood lights. We are nearly at the main gate when it starts to open.
“Joe, did you open the gate?” one of the guards asks.
“Nope, must be a glitch,” the other guard replies. I see Burkhart behind the one walking towards the gate, and Wulf is entering the guard house. Soon, both guards have been neutralized. My team moves towards the right side of the entrance, and Wulf’s towards the left.
I look in through the double-glazed glass doors and see two guards standing by three elevators. Inclining my head, I give the go-ahead to enter. Wulf and Burkhart enter, their weapons ready in case of any eventuality. Next, Bjarni and Cassius move forward. The guards tense but don’t draw their guns. The rest of us enter once Wulf has used his credentials and the elevator has opened.
Bjarni opens the other elevator, and he and Cassius enter. Brandr and I will use the stairs on the one side, and the others will use the stairs on the other side. Brandr uses his credentials for the door to the stairs. It clicks open. We descend until we get to the last floor. If what Jenkins said is correct, most of the information about us will be on this floor.
“Apparently Katya is on the sixth level,” Ceric reports. “And you guys aren’t going to like this. They have women locked up in cages down there.”
My anger rises. Are these fuckers experimenting on women?
r /> “Talia is trying to unlock the cages, so you guys better hurry.”
“Fuck,” Brandr says as he turns towards me. “How do we get to the sixth level? The steps end here.”
“Was there any evidence that the elevators descend more than just the five levels?” I ask into my com.
“It could, but it needs a key,” Cassius reports.
“There has to be some kind of ventilation system that moves down to that level,” Celmund says.
“Caelius, Cassius, look for the ventilation system. The rest of us will continue as planned until a way down is found.” I look at Brandr and incline my head to proceed. He opens the door to the fifth level and steps inside. The corridor is well lit; it’s evening, so there shouldn’t be many people about. We make our way towards a door further down and enter. This looks like someone’s office. I glance towards the wall where there are various pictures of different women, but none of them are anyone we know. Brandr walks towards the desk and looks through files and then in the draws. I look in a filing cabinet. Again, there are many files, but none of anyone we know. These might be of women they still need to investigate or of the other women on the database. Whichever it is, I’m sure it has to do with this whole plan of killing off the Elementals and the Keres.
“Guys, Katrina just found men. She thinks they are being tested on. Apparently there are some in cages, too, and others being monitored. There is an area where six men are training, and they seem enhanced,” Ceric reports.
“Must be some more of those fuckers we encountered once,” Burkhart states.
“Celmund, did you get the photos?” Brandr and I are taking photos of some of the files and sending them to Celmund to see if he can identify any of these names on the database.
“Yeah, but none are on,” he reports.
“I’ve uploaded the files from this guy’s computer,” Brandr says. After confirmation from Celmund, we make our way down the corridor to the next door. This area looks like a meeting room, nothing much to it. Moving on to the next one, we find what looks like an interrogation room.
