“Jeepers, what were you guys worried about? You need an army to get into this place,” Gabriela comments as she pulls off her helmet and starts to look around.
“There is always a way if someone wants it bad enough,” Brandr says as he takes Aria’s helmet from her hands and places it on the handlebar of his bike. Draco walks up to me and places his arm around my shoulders as he kisses my forehead.
“Did you enjoy that?” he asks with a grin; he knows I did, as I can’t stop smiling.
“You know I did; I think I’m going to love the healing we’re going to be doing on the Keres,” I quip.
He starts to guide me towards a door on the far side of the garage. “Well, maybe we can go for a burger and a milkshake when we are done here.” At his words, I stop and throw myself into his arms, kissing him passionately. His arms snake around my waist and lift me closer to his body.
“Why can’t we go for a milkshake?” I hear Gabriela asking.
“All of us are going, baby girl,” I hear Bjarni answer. Gabriela whoops in joy. I also hear Aria say something, but I’m too taken with Draco’s kiss to pay anyone any more attention.
“I’m afraid we’re going to have to break this up. There are cameras in the garage, and we are still here,” Brandr teases as he walks past with Aria, his arm around her waist as they make their way through the door. Draco pulls back, but he’s grinning. I can tell that now that he’s here, he has relaxed a little.
“Come on, vixen. Let’s not embarrass them any more with our passion,” Draco quips as Bjarni and Gabriela walk past hand in hand. Bjarni lifts his hand and shows Draco the finger, which has the two of us laughing.
We follow the two couples into a long corridor until we get to another door that opens to a room like what we have back at the compound. There are scattered pillows on a carpeted floor, which is where we will be sitting. We usually sit on the ground, as it is easier to send our energy that way towards who we are healing. A window on one of the walls shows another room on the other side, that one bigger than the one we are in now. If this window is the same as at the compound, it will be a one-way mirror. We can see in, but anyone on the other side won’t be able to see us. They have gone out of their way to make it as comfortable as possible for us.
“It feels like we are back home, and we even get plants,” Aria says happily as she points towards various potted plants scattered near the walls to give the room more life.
“You guys have done a great job here. It looks great,” Gabriela says as she stretches up and kisses Bjarni. We are still talking about the room when Ceric walks in with Nova, Caelius and Alaia following close behind.
“Oh, this looks great,” Alaia says as they also look around.
“Where’s Burkhart and Saskia?” I ask, knowing that they were the other couple to have made this trip.
“Oh, they’re out in the corridor making out,” Nova quips with a laugh just as the other two walk in. I start laughing when I see that she wasn’t exaggerating. Saskia looks like she has been thoroughly kissed.
“You have to forgive them, ladies. Burkhart fell asleep last night so is trying to make up for it today,” Ceric teases, which has Saskia blushing.
“Nope, Burkhart didn’t fall asleep. He was quite perky last night,” Saskia says with a straight face, but her cheeks darken with colour. Burkhart throws back his head and laughs at her defence of him. Everyone is in high spirits; the others also arrive, and then it’s time to start the healing. The men all leave except for Cassius, but I know from other healings that they are not far. We all quieten as we see ten Keres being ushered into the other room. It is obvious that they are not too keen on being here, as they are looking around in anger.
I was curious on how the Elementals stopped the Keres from using their powers when in captivity. The men went out of their way to explain to me and the other women with me on how they coated the walls, bars, and chains with a specific metal that stopped Elementals and Keres from being able to use their power. In this case, they haven’t coated the floor, as one of the men will be boosting our energy with his; therefore, we will have to start the healing as soon as possible before any of them realize that they might have a chance of using their powers.
We are all sitting in our place. Cassius is sitting behind Scarlett as we practiced. We close our eyes and widen our energy field. Brielle and Alaia are taking the lead as one of them heals and the other one calms them down. I can feel the difference in energy when Cassius joins, and then it is being directed towards the Keres in the other room. I maintain my eyes closed, focusing on the energy flowing from me towards where it is needed, even when I hear the roar of fury that comes from the other room. I don’t know how long we stay like this, healing and calming the Keres in the other room. I see faces of women and locations, knowing that they are the Keres’ mates. In total, I see eight of them, which is very good. We never thought we would find so many mates as we have been doing.
My gift of finding things has upped the odds of mates being found. We believe that in the future, very few Elementals will have to turn. I know that some Elementals who aren’t in danger of turning have requested that we find their mates, sometimes becoming quite forceful, but the men have dealt with them. I know that Draco worries that the time will come when they will have to use force to stop one of them, but if we can get to the stage where we have healed all the critical cases, we can then start looking for other mates.
I can feel the fury start to diminish, which is evidence that the Keres are healing, and we can soon stop. Soon, I can feel the women start to stir. I rein in my energy and open my eyes. From where I’m sitting, I can’t see the Keres, but I’m sure they are either on the floor unconscious or sitting down dazed.
“Well, that was different,” Jasmine says as she stretches her legs.
“Did anyone see anything?” Talia asks.
“Yeah, they’re really twisted,” Gabriela says, not sounding like her usual cheerful self. I can just imagine. If we must see anything in a Keres’ mind or life, it must be upsetting.
“I saw eight women and locations,” I say, “and I really need to write it down or I’m going to forget. I need a way of being able to say it or capture it somehow.” I stand and look around, trying to find something that I can use, just as the door opens and Celmund walks in with a tablet.
“Here you go. Use this,” he says as he hands me the tablet. I smile as I take it and start to type in the information that I saw, trying to remember everything, picturing all the details in my mind until I’m sure that I haven’t forgotten anything.
When I’m done, I look up from the tablet and see Bjarni, Burkhart, Draco, and Wulf in the room with the Keres. They are helping one by one up and out of the room. Hopefully this has worked and the Keres have changed back into Elementals, or finding their mates will be a waste. The women have changed one Keres before, and from what they say, he is still an Elemental and happy with his mate.
“Are you done?” Celmund asks as he comes to stand beside me.
“Oh yes, thanks,” I answer as I hand the tablet back to him. I know that he will find the women with the information I have given. “If you can’t find them, let me know and I will go and find them.”
He grins. “I’m sure Draco will love that, having you out and about, finding the Keres’ mates.” I playfully stick out my tongue at him.
“Did it work?” Saskia asks as she turns from looking into the other room.
“Well, they’re calmer, but I think we will only know with time if healing more than one at a time works,” Alaia says with a frown as she also turns from the glass and looks at all of us.
“Well, then it’s nearly time for us to go for our burgers and milkshakes,” Aria says as she claps her hands excitedly.
“We are going for burgers?” Nova asks, her eyes wide in surprise.
“Yep, Draco said so,” I say, and grins of joy come to everyone’s faces.
“Oh man, maybe we should start healing Ke
res twice a week,” Scarlett teases as she makes her way towards the door, pulling Cassius behind her. He looks over at Celmund and shrugs, a wide grin on his face as he follows her.
I know that there is still fighting to be done, especially with the men wanting to go after the ones who kidnapped me, but today has been a good day and everyone is in high spirits. Therefore, we will forget what is to come just for today and go and enjoy the unity and camaraderie between everyone.
DRACO 6
I don’t like that we have the women all in one place where we can be attacked, but we took every precaution before today to make sure that it was safe. Also, if with our powers we can’t vanquish any threat even after all the precautions, then we need to evaluate our way of life. I look around and see the joy on the women’s faces even though the men are all on alert but are trying to cover their uneasiness to make this moment special.
The diner we all came to is out of the way, but we have secured it. There are mostly truckers and families passing by. We sat at tables in a back corner where it is easy to see who walks in and easier to defend from any threat.
“Is that nice?” I ask as Katrina takes a bite of her burger. She looks up at me from the top of her burger and smiles as she nods her head.
“I’ve missed this,” Saskia says as she pops a chip into her mouth. Her eyes close and she groans in exaggeration, which to everyone’s amusement has Burkhart scowling. We have been unjust to all the women. By trying to protect them, we have taken their freedom away. This will stop. We will give our women the life they deserve, the freedom they want. We will make this all happen once we unroot the rot that has been infecting our lives.
As soon as we know if the Keres have been healed, we will make planes to attack those who thought it was okay to attack us, to act as our friends only to be deviously planning our downfall. To attack us is one thing, but to attack our women and children, there is no forgiveness. I feel Katrina’s hand on my leg. Looking over at her, I see her questioning eyes on me. I smile but can see that it doesn’t convince her. Even though we’ve been mated for a short time, my woman can already feel the nuances in my moods. I place my hand over hers and bring it up to my thigh, placing it over my hard cock. Her eyes widen slightly, but then she winks as she flexes her hand. I lean forward and whisper in her ear, “Vixen.”
“You started it,” she whispers back. “You mustn’t play with fire. You might get burnt.” Her comment has me roaring with laughter, which has everyone looking at us. There is no one who can ignite a fire like I can, and this wisp of a woman tells me that I’m playing with fire.
“Burn his ass,” Ceric says. “He deserves it.” I lift a brow at him but continue grinning at his teasing. One time I burnt his jeans over his ass. That was the highlight of the month, seeing Ceric smacking his jeans to try to kill the flames.
“Now who’s playing with fire?” I ask, and instantly Ceric lifts his hands in the air in surrender. He looks around in fake surprise.
“Did anyone say anything?” he asks with a straight face. “Nope, sorry, Draco, I don’t think anyone said anything.” And then he grins.
The rest of lunch passed with everyone having a great time. Even I was reluctant to get back on the road and head back towards the compound. We took a slow ride back, and everyone was in a great mood by the time we got there.
“Are we going to be able to do this every week when we go and heal the Keres? If not this, something similar?” Jasmine asks as she hands Wulf her helmet.
“Yeah, today was great,” Brielle says as Bion and her walk hand in hand towards the garage door.
“I don’t know about every time, but we will try to do this kind of thing more often,” I reply. This is what we spoke about at the meeting, and seeing as it went so well, we can start to think of other outings.
Katrina is just placing her helmet on the handlebars of her bike when I come from behind and pull her back against my front. Lowering my head, I kiss her neck. “Did you enjoy today?”
She lifts her arm, and her hand snakes around the back of my neck as she holds my head against her neck. “It was perfect. I had a great time,” she murmurs, and I kiss her neck again before standing up straight.
“Draco, can we talk?” I look over at Celmund and see him standing by the garage door, his arm around Talia’s shoulders. I know that he wouldn’t ask to talk if it wasn’t important, so I nod.
“I’ll wait for you in the computer room,” he says, and then he turns and walks away, guiding Talia with him.
“Well, I guess it’s true what they say. There is never any rest for the wicked,” Katrina teases.
“Oh really, is that what I am?” I smack her bum playfully, which has her jumping in surprise, and then she laughs as she wiggles her index finger at me and starts to walk backwards.
“Don’t start what you can’t finish, mister,” she teases, and then she turns and runs towards the door of the garage while she laughs. I am at the door before she makes it there. Grabbing her around her waist, I throw her over my shoulder and hurry through the compound to our room as she continues to laugh all the way. I am unbuttoning my jeans before I open the door to our room. Kicking the door shut behind me, I bring Katrina down to the ground.
My hands go to her waist, and I have her jeans unbuttoned and at her knees before she knows what is happening. I turn her around, facing the door. “Put your hands on the door, vixen,” I order as I bend her forward. I see her smile light up with passion as she does what I say. The minute her hands touch the door, I plunge deep into her from behind.
“Ohh,” she gasps, but I don’t give her a respite. I continue to plunge and retract with just enough force to have us both mindless with passion. “Draco, yes . . . yes,” she mumbles, and I can feel her inner muscles gripping me until I lose all control and spill my essence deep within my vixen. This woman can drive every thought out of my mind.
I lean forward and gently kiss the back of her neck. “Are you okay?”
She laughs breathlessly. “I’m perfect. If I had known that running from you would have this reaction, I would have ran earlier,” she teases, which has me swatting her bum playfully as I slide out of her. Her groan of pleasure has me wanting to take her again, but I need to go see what Celmund needs to talk to me about, or we would be in this room for the rest of the day.
“Stop teasing me, you vixen. I need to go speak to Celmund,” I say, and then it’s my turn to groan as she bends forward to pull off her boots, her naked bum exposed to my view. I quickly turn my back and make my way towards the bathroom to clean up. I know that if I didn’t turn away, I wouldn’t be leaving any time soon. When I’m done, I walk out of the bathroom to find Katrina with a bath towel wrapped around herself.
“Are you going to shower?”
“No, I think I’m going to lie in the bath and relax for a little bit,” she replies as she walks around me towards the bathroom. “You’re welcome to join me if you like.”
“Vixen,” I call, and she laughs as I walk towards the bedroom door and leave. A few minutes later, I am entering the computer room to find Celmund tapping away on his computer. “What’s up?” I ask.
“There is someone we can persuade to help us get the information we need on the agency and how to get into the underground,” he states, and looks up from the screen at me. “His name is Jenkins. He’s had problems before and was sent here as a last resort. He needs money. He has a nasty habit of gambling.”
I nod. It’s about time that we got a break. “What kind of clearance does he have?”
“I’m not sure, but whatever he has is better than what we have at the moment, and he will be able to tell us more about the interior of the underground,” Celmund says as he turns the screen around for me to see the photo of Jenkins. I can feel myself tensing when I see his face, my anger rising.
“He’s one of the men who had Katrina,” I state. “Is he outside?” I thought Katya and the men who had dared to kidnap my mate were still hiding in the un
derground, but if they have come out of hiding, then it will be easier to start with them.
“Katrina had told us that she was travelling with Katya and the driver when they had the accident. We have evidence of their entrance into the underground from a camera at one of the traffic lights across from the entrance.” Celmund pulls up a screenshot on one of the screens that I have seen before of the two entering the underground. “The other two your woman mentioned were with them until they left the abandoned house. We never got evidence that they entered the underground, and simply assumed.” He points at his screen where Jenkins’s photo is and then looks back at me. “He is one of the two who stayed behind.”
“How did you find him?” I ask.
“He went alone to the underground today. I caught him on the same camera.” Now Celmund displays another image of Jenkins entering the underground, and the angle is the same as the previous one of when Katya and the driver entered.
“So if he went in, how do we get to him?” I want my hands around the son of a bitch’s neck. I want him to know that he messed with the wrong woman before he takes his last breath.
“He came back out, and I managed to track him to where he’s staying.” He hands me a file. I know that all the information on Jenkins is in the file.
“I will read this, and then we go pay Jenkins a visit,” I say as I turn to go sit on one of the chairs to read the file, before Celmund stops me with his next words.
“I think it will be better to bring him here. We will have more time to extract all the information we can from him, and also, we might need the women to see what information they can get from him that he can’t or doesn’t want to share.”
That makes sense, but before I decide on involving the women, I will read the file.
I sit and open the file. There is a record of Jenkins’s previous problems in the States and why the FBI sent him to the agency here in South Africa to quieten the scandal. Apparently, Jenkins was accused of taking bribes, but he must have a connection high up, because it was dismissed. Either that or whoever helped him was involved with him in taking the bribes. He is living in an apartment that consists of seven other apartments in the building. Bringing him here would be prudent, as no one would see any of us near his apartment and wouldn’t be able to link us. It mentions here that Jenkins has a gambling problem and owes a lot of money to none other than our friends the Bratva mafia.
